An Arlington Heights traditional got a dose of personality and color by mixing mid-century flair with personal collections to tell the story of the family who lives there. The basement design is inspired by Chicago’s history and is literally constructed from pieces of the city’s past. Reclaimed Chicago brick was veneered and applied to the walls with mortar. The goal was to create a space that could be used by the whole family, bringing in finishes that have their own story and connection to the city.
